This is George Gobel’s personal 1958 Gibson L5 C-T, a stunning example of Gibson’s premier archtop craftsmanship with a unique history. This guitar shows signs of moderate wear from years of use, adding to its character and authenticity. The original pickguard has begun to off-gas, a common occurrence in vintage instruments of this era. Despite these signs of age, the guitar remains a remarkable player, delivering the rich, articulate tone and effortless playability that make the L5 C-T a favorite among jazz guitarists. A true piece of history, this instrument offers both exceptional musicality and a direct connection to the legacy of George Gobel. Included with the guitar are a heavy-duty flight case, a guitar stand, George Gobel’s "Lonesome George" picks, and several original press photos of Gobel.
