This 1951 Gibson J-45 has all the character and tonal depth you’d hope for in an early post-war slope-shoulder dreadnought. It’s seen its share of honest work over the years, including a refret, replacement nut, new saddle, and a reglue of both the bridge and an internal brace. A small patch (roughly 1.5") on the treble-side shoulder, overspray on the heel and sides, reinforcement in the soundhole, and an added strap button speak to its life as a working instrument. The tuners have been replaced for stability, though the originals are included in the case. With its dry, warm low end and that unmistakable Gibson voice, this J-45 is an excellent choice for the discerning player.
Includes modern Gibson hard shell case.
