This wartime Gibson J-45, built between 1942 and 1945, is a fascinating example from a unique era in Gibson’s history. It was likely returned to the factory in the late 1960s for repairs, during which it received a refinish, a new pickguard, a new bridge, and a neck reset. Upon its landing at our store, it received another much needed neck set and new bridge. The guitar features a large, comfortable C-shaped neck and delivers the warm, full-bodied tone that makes these early J-45s so desirable. A wonderful vintage, player-grade example with plenty of character and history. Comes with HC
