The Gibson Futura was made by the Gibson Custom shop and combines elements of retro-futuristic styling with modern craftsmanship. The design of the Futura harks back to the 1950s prototypes that were ahead of their time, featuring an unconventional body shape that blends angular contours with a sleek, aerodynamic look. Typically constructed with a mahogany body and neck, and a rosewood fingerboard, the guitar offers a rich, resonant tone that is both warm and articulate. The guitar seems like a small step back from NOS condition, and while it does have some signs of previous playwear they are pretty minimal overall, and confined to the normal spots (pickguard and belt buckle area). This guitar has a comfortable medium action height setup, and plays well. It comes with the original hard case.

*When using Affirm, we charge an additional 3.5% fee on the total at checkout. The majority of our instruments are consignment, where CVG keeps a small percentage of each sale. To be able to cover the additional costs required to offer financing, we have to include a higher fee to the customer. The 3.5% fee will be included in and spread across your Affirm payments.
