This 2001 Gibson F-5 Sam Bush in Sunburst is a well-played example of Gibson’s tribute to one of bluegrass mandolin’s most iconic voices. Structurally solid and in great playing condition, it shows significant signs of wear—evidence of years of use rather than abuse. The finish has plenty of character, with visible playwear throughout, but nothing that compromises its integrity or performance. At one point, the headstock scroll was reglued, a common repair on scroll-style mandolins, and it remains stable and cleanly done. Tonally, it delivers the focused chop, clear highs, and woody midrange that have made the Sam Bush model a favorite among serious players. A seasoned instrument with the sound and feel to match. Comes with a Calton Case.
