This 2015 Gibson Custom Shop "Phenix" Les Paul Custom is a limited-edition replica of his 1954 Les Paul Custom used on Frampton Comes Alive! Featuring Frampton's pickups of choice - Tom Holmes pickups, a lightweight mahogany body and a True Historic thin lacquer finish, it's a formidable recreation. The guitar is known for its "Phenix" name—referencing its survival from a 1980 plane crash—and is hand-signed and aged by Tom Murphy, as well as a signature from Frampton on the back of the headstock.
