The ES-339 was introduced to deliver the response of Gibson's classic semi-hollow design in a more compact format, and by 2010 it had already established itself as a distinct model within the Custom Shop lineup. This example is finished in Vintage Sunburst and features the familiar laminated maple construction, center block, and dual humbuckers that give the ES family its characteristic voice. Its reduced body dimensions offer a different playing experience than an ES-335 while retaining the balance and versatility that have made Gibson's semi-hollow instruments a mainstay for decades. The Memphis craftsmanship is evident throughout, with clean binding work, quality materials, and a finish that complements the guitar's understated appearance. This 2010 ES-339 stands as an early example of a model that has since become a permanent fixture in Gibson's catalog.
