This '59 ES-355 in Ebony is Gibson Custom at its best, a historically accurate recreation of the double-bound, block-inlaid flagship, finished in a black so deep it makes the gold hardware and multi-ply binding pop. Under the hood you get the fat, warm, harmonically rich voice the 355 has always been famous for.  Thick enough for jazz, gritty enough for blues and rock, with that stereo Varitone circuitry on tap for extra tonal shaping. The semi-hollow maple/spruce construction and long neck tenon give it the sustain and stability players expect from Gibson's Historic Custom Shop work, while the neck carve and setup are dialed in for serious playability, not just looks.
