Description

Natural finishes reveal every detail of an ES-335's laminated maple construction, making this Murphy Lab example especially striking. Based on a 1959 ES-335, it combines a rounded late-'50s neck carve, Custombucker pickups, and historically accurate construction with the subtle wear of Gibson's Light Aged treatment. The aging is restrained, giving the guitar the appearance of an instrument that has been carefully played and well maintained over decades without overshadowing the wood beneath. Gibson's Murphy Lab treatment complements the classic ES-335 design, resulting in a reissue that captures the look and character of an early example with remarkable authenticity.
