Already among Gibson's most unique designs, this Firebird V's ember red finish makes it a particularly head-turning instrument.This example from the Murphy Lab happens to be a pre-production prototype that helped set the standard for lightly-aged Firebirds that came after. Beyond the aesthetics, this guitar's two mini humbuckers make for a wide range of tones that live in a uniquely Firebird space, and it plays wonderfully up and down the fretboard.
