Gallagher Guitars, made famous by Doc Watson, were crafted 60 miles south of Nashville in Wartrace, TN until 2019, after which the shop came under the direction of David Mathis and moved to Murfreesboro. This 2005 Steve Kaufman signature 14-fret fret dreadnought features an unexpected Florentine cutaway, sunburst top, abalone purfling. Indian rosewood and most likely Engelmann spruce are the tonewoods, providing a big, warm tone. It is in good playable condition with some wear and dings throughout. There is some finish bubbling on the back of the neck/headstock joint and on the binding on the sides of the guitar. A pickup has been added. Includes its original hard shell case.
