Modifications/RepairsRefret, new nut, neck oversprayed. Switch added and body routed slightly under guard; probably to add neck pickup to bridge pickup. Repro guard. Original guard in case.

This is a beautiful 3 tone sunburst 1959 Fender Stratocaster. It's an earlier '59 with a maple neck. The guitar's in very good condition and the color of the sunburst still retains some red making it visually stunning. The guitar is lightweight at 7.2 pounds and features a slim "C" shaped neck. It's been refretted, a new nut and the neck was oversprayed. Nothing like a classic vintage guitar with new frets. The guitar plays great! The pickups, switch and pots are all original. There was a switch added to the guitar, probably to combine another pickup (like the neck pickup) to the bridge pickup. This resulted in the original guard being modified slightly to accomodate the switch. There is a repro pickguard on the guitar; the original guard is in the case. There is also a small route in the body, under the guard, also to accomodate the switch.

This great sounding guitar comes in its orignal brown tolex Fender hard case.
