This 1956 Fender Stratocaster is a great playing and sounding Strat. The price makes it a great guitar for a player as it's about 1/3 the price of a straight one. It has a good sized "U" (sort of heading to "V") shaped neck. Collectors call them, "Boat" necks. It's a great feeling neck with a brand new refret courtesy of Carter Vintage that makes the guitar a breeze to play. The pickups definitely channel 50s Strat tone in each position of the 3 way switch. The guitar has had some work. At one point it was converted to a left handed instrument with some of the upper bout cut away. This was fixed years ago and new finish was applied. in the area This repair was professionally done. The guitar was routed for humbuckers, 3 of them, under the guard. The neck pickup was rewound at some point and the volume pot was replaced. The pickguard, knobs and two of the pickup covers appear to be replaced. Take a look at the guitar's, "Specs" column for all the issues, work/changes to the instrument. It comes with a mid '50s tweed Fender center pocket case.
