A fine example of a mid '50s Strat! With a neck date of 12-56, this guitar was made at the end of '56 so it has a neck profile that is more commonly found on a '57. The neck has a comfortable V shape that is strong at the first fret and tapers toward the body. The guitar features an alder body and has the original pickups which are nicely balanced with loads of classic Strat tone.
The guitar is in excellent condition and was owned / played frequently by Erik Cartwright. Erik used this guitar while recording the Foghat record "Girls to Chat & Boys to Bounce" in 1981. He also did minor modifications on the instrument to bring its voice forward, including his hand notching of the pickup selector (to 5 way) and adding a tone capacitor. Comes with the original tweed case.
