The legendary Fender Nocaster was first introduced in 1951. It was originally named the Telecaster, but a legal dispute with Gretsch over the use of the "Broadcaster" name led to a brief period where Fender produced guitars without a name on the headstock, which are now known as "Nocasters".
The 1951 Nocaster is prized by collectors and guitar enthusiasts for its unique features, including a single-cutaway ash body, a maple neck, and a distinctive twangy sound that has become synonymous with country and rockabilly music.
This guitar has had its body refinished and its neck oversprayed. It has also had a refret with jumbo frets and its fingerboard re-radiused to 9.5". It has replaced pots and caps from 1988. It plays and sounds fantastic, and comes with its original (but recovered) hard case.
