Description

This 1956 Esquire is a remarkable example of Fender's very first solid-body design. A true artifact from the minimalist era, this single-pickup guitar retains its original neck and body, along with a refret, replaced nut, rewound pickup and a swapped-out volume pot and dark pot. The body has been expertly refinished by Danocaster, with traces of a previous red finish still visible on the underside of the original pickguard. While closely related to its successor, the Telecaster, the Esquire’s single pickup delivers a distinctly different sound. This example plays effortlessly and delivers that classic Tele spank!
