Description

The 1988 Yamaha RGX 612S pairs an offset double-cut solidbody with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. It carries a versatile H-S-S pickup layout with Yamaha-branded pickups and standard volume/tone controls with a 5-way selector. Hardware includes die-cast tuners and a synchronized tremolo bridge, all mounted cleanly against the vibrant finish. The body and neck show consistent light wear for its age, with no significant structural issues to note. This example presents the straightforward design and functionality Yamaha pursued in its late ’80s RGX line.
