This 1967 Standel is a rare semi-hollow electric built by Harptone in New Jersey under the direction of luthier Sam Koontz. The Sunburst finish highlights the maple construction, while the double-cutaway body and distinctive headstock give the guitar a look unlike more familiar late-'60s designs. A pair of DeArmond 2000-style pickups provides the instrument's amplified voice, complemented by Grover Rotomatic tuners and a roller bridge. Produced as part of a very small run of Standel instruments, the 520S is an unusual piece of American guitar history with a distinctive combination of design and construction.

Includes OHSC.
