This amp runs at 220V and requires a step-up transformer. Amazon sells them for around $50.

This wonderful and rare amp was built in Germany in the 1980s. Kitty Hawk was founded by brothers Wolfram and Gundolf Roy, who were previously the European importers of Mesa Boogie and Dumble amps during that era. While details of the circuitry remain largely unknown, it's a well-known rumor that Howard Dumble suspected Kitty Hawk of using his circuit designs, and are the reason he started to hide them with epoxy!

Although specifics are scarce, the Custom Series is widely believed to be most reminiscent of the Mesa Boogie Mark II amps from the same period. The tone is certainly distinct, offering one clean channel, a thick-sounding high-gain channel, along with a switchable boost. There is a 100w/50w switch, though the amp is always pretty loud. This amp has held up well over the years and is in good condition, showing only moderate signs of previous wear.
*When using Affirm, we charge an additional 3.5% fee on the total at checkout. The majority of our instruments are consignment, where CVG keeps a small percentage of each sale. To be able to cover the additional costs required to offer financing, we have to include a higher fee to the customer. The 3.5% fee will be included in and spread across your Affirm payments.
