The Flagship of the Swedish guitar brand, Levin , this 1957 prototype M-50 for the Goya brand has recently been X-braced converted and sounds like a dream. This guitar arguably has the finest woods on it: old German Spruce, Flamed Maple and Brazilian Rosewood. Adorned with hand -crafted colorful wood trim/rosette and mother of pearl inlays, this is undoubtedly a beautiful instrument. Originally produced as a ladder braced guitar, the back was been removed and a Pre-War Martin-style forward shifted X-bracing installed that allows the top to move with even the most sensitive playing styles. The flamed maple back and sides project leading to a Gibson Dove like tone. Its a beautiful mixture of design. Only one other prototype M50 has surfaced, but it is likely that very few were even produced as they cost more than D-28's in their time of manufacture. Set-up with easy playing low action, it is ready for its next chapter!
Comes in modern Gibson HSC.
