Description

This 1961 Gibson SG Custom is a striking example of this iconic early 60's model, loaded with both visual flair and tonal pedigree. Featuring a lightweight mahogany body and a fast, slim C neck with an ebony board, it plays effortlessly and absolutely sings. The trio of original PAFs—now with replaced covers—deliver a dynamic range of vintage tones. At a little over 7 lbs, it’s a well-balanced player, complete with original gold Grovers. Our in-house repair team just performed a killer refret and at some point there was some light solder work. Cosmetically, it's in great condition for its age, with typical smalls dings and nicks, a small finish crack at the neck heel, and finish wear on the treble side waist
