1967 Gibson Melody Maker D 12-String in a beautifully aged Burgundy finish. This one shows only light signs of wear and minor fine checking, with attractive natural aging throughout—nothing heavy, just the kind of patina you want to see on a well-cared-for mid-’60s Gibson, it presents very clean for its age.
Tonally, it sounds fantastic: bright and chiming with plenty of warmth and body, exactly what you hope for from a vintage 12-string. Despite the characteristically skinny nut, it’s surprisingly comfortable and plays very well, with an easy feel up and down the neck that makes it far more inviting than many vintage 12s.
A great example of a ’60s Gibson 12-string with killer vibe, natural aging, and excellent playability. Comes with a period correct HSC.
