This 1958 Gibson Les Paul Special is a beautiful example of mid century minimalism. Apart from a maple cap to the top, it has Gold Top DNA through and through. This example lived life originally as both a stop-tail conversion and with a Bigsby; it rocks in its current setup. The vintage aluminum components of this Bigsby allow the guitar to ring with resonance; the arm warbles the tone nicely. The original tuners were reinstalled with conversion bushings after hosting Japanese ones and the bobbin of the neck P90 is from the early 50s and has its original early 50s winding (but retains the same '58 soap bar base plate and cover). It offers gorgeous mellow P90 rhythm tone, and ripping lead growl. Cosmetically, it is in killer condition with only a few bumps and scrapes. This thing is meant to be played.
Includes original chipboard case in unusable condition and modern pink-lined Gator hardshell case
