Fender Precision Bass Special 1983, Arctic White

The Precision Bass Special was Fender’s early-’80s attempt to push the familiar P Bass design into a more modern direction, adding active electronics, expanded tone controls, and a distinctive brass bridge. This 1983 example is finished in Arctic White, with the matching headstock and gold hardware giving it a particularly sharp look. The combination of split-coil pickups and active/passive electronics makes it a more versatile instrument than a traditional Precision Bass, while the familiar body shape keeps it firmly connected to the classic Fender design. Light player wear and natural aging are present throughout, though it remains in very good overall condition.
