As part of Fender's Custom Shop series, this model is meticulously built to replicate the look and feel of a 1967 Stratocaster that has seen decades of use. The relic treatment involves artificially aging the guitar to give it the appearance of heavy wear, including a well-worn finish, dings, scratches, and an oxidized hardware look. It features period-correct specifications like a select alder body, and a rift sawn maple neck with a round-laminated rosewood fingerboard.
Aside from aesthetics you can expect a higher level of quality from items given the custom shop treatment, along with an added bit of nuance to the sound and style. It's ste up with fairly low action, and feels effortless to play, without any notes bottoming out. Note: the original owner had the guitar refretted with jumbo frets. OHSC and COA included.
