This is a great-sounding 1963 Vox AC30 featuring the classic copper control panel. The Bass circuit differs slightly from the Treble version, primarily due to larger coupling capacitors that extend the frequency range. This amp was likely built earlier in 1963, right after the switch from Fawn to black covering, and prior to the transition from Albion to Woden transformers. The plastic vents on the top are missing, which is a blessing in disguise, as they tend to rattle under volume. The handles are likely newer replacements.
The cabinet exhibits a fair amount of gigging wear but has held up well over the years. The power cord and electrolytic capacitors have been replaced, and a few resistor values were swapped to ensure stability. Please refer to the circuit pictures for further details. It houses one original T530 Alnico Blue speaker with a Pulsonic cone and one replaced G12H Heritage Series 30W speaker. The sound captures everything you'd expect from an early '60s Vox—delivering that big, warm tone characteristic of the pre-Top Boost models. Nothing but pure vintage bliss on display here!
