Judging by Jeff Traugott’s finely crafted guitars, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to find out that he worked for Santa Cruz Guitar Co. before striking out on his own. Since setting up his workshop in 1991, he has been crafting a very select number of instruments each year, allowing him to give his full attention to each guitar and to each musician for whom he builds. His versatile BK model combines a wide 16" lower bout with a narrow depth, making it akin to Martin's 0000. It's really responsive for fingerstyle, but can also handle a strong attack for strumming and lead playing. Brazilian rosewood and German spruce create a rich and complex voice, with the scooped out mids sound that BRW is known for. The smooth, modern curves of the body and bridge are accented by a beautiful pau rosette and purfling. The neck is graphite-reinforced, while a gold-plated Highlander IP2 under-saddle pickup and mic (installed by Jeff) give the player excellent amplification options.

Condition is excellent, with only some finish sinking into the grain on the porous rosewood back.
