Stephen Kinnaird’s journey into guitar building traces back to the early ’70s, sparked by time spent in Jay Rhyne’s Atlanta shop where he first encountered the craft at a high level. That early exposure, combined with years of studying exceptional vintage instruments, continues to shape his refined and thoughtful approach to lutherie. This 2022 00-12 is a beautiful reflection of that influence, built with a Claro walnut body and a Lutz spruce top that together produce a warm, clear, and highly responsive tone. It’s accented with abalone trim along the top and rosette, koa binding, and a Brazilian rosewood bridge, blending elegance with a natural, understated aesthetic. A K&K Pure Mini pickup has been installed for faithful amplified sound. In excellent condition with virtually no signs of use, it also includes the original hardshell case.
