Stephan Sobell began building instruments in the early 1970s, and his reputation for exceptional craftsmanship is well deserved. This 1996 Sobell five-course cittern is a beautiful example of his work and showcases the quality and elegance his instruments are known for. It features a Western Red Cedar top paired with Indian Rosewood back and sides, producing a warm, rich, and articulate voice. The instrument has a 23" scale length and is currently tuned to DGDAD. It remains in excellent condition and is a wonderfully refined instrument both visually and tonally. Includes the original hard case.
