Rickenbacker introduced its 300 series in 1958, with the Model 320 closely resembling Lennon's guitar, except for the absence of the Bigsby vibrola. Available in a variety of finishes, including the striking Jetglo Black, the 320 featured several pickup versions throughout its production, culminating in the powerful Hi-Gain single coils. True to Rickenbacker tradition, the distinctive 320 was designed with a unique 21" scale length, likely the shortest ever offered on a production electric guitar. Discontinued in 1994, the nimble Model 320 has remained highly sought after by knowledgeable players. This 1979 example is in excellent condition and displays no real signs of wear aside from some minor surface scratches.
