Rick Turner Model 1 Limited Edition "Heartbreaker Featherweight" #9 2023, Natural

From Heartbreaker Guitars: "Heartbreaker Guitars has been involved in Limited Edition projects with Rick Turner Guitars for 12 years now. In late 2021, we discussed with Rick the 'Heartbreaker Featherweights'. Rick was a huge fan of the Featherweights, which are the classic Model 1 with a Cedar core instead of Mahogany. As Rick used to say, 'The Cedar core gives the guitar a slightly more acoustic flavor'. Many customers often come back after purchasing a standard Model 1 to explore the idea of purchasing a Featherweight Model 1. 

Rick Turner tragically passed away in April of 2022 as we were in the middle of this project. After consultation with the Turner Team and family, Heartbreaker Guitars and Rick Turner Guitars moved ahead with the “Heartbreaker Featherweights”. 

What are they? A Model 1 Featherweight with either a Master Grade Ziricote or Flamed/Quilted Maple caps. Most Model 1’s only have a “cap” on the top side, while the Heartbreaker Featherweights are capped on the front and the back, giving the Cedar a decidedly more responsive attack. You can get all of the classic tones from the Standard Model 1, but with more sonic dynamics.

Get that classic Lindsey Buckingham tone with a bit more versatility than your standard Model 1. And don’t forget, these guitars are easy on the shoulders! Coming in at about a full pound lighter than a Mahogany Model 1, these Turner gems can make those long gigs just a bit easier on you!"
