PRS Artist Limited Prototype 1994, Sunburst

This 1994 PRS Artist Limited Prototype comes from the earliest years of the Artist Limited Edition, a run of just 200 instruments produced between 1994 and 1996. The Sunburst finish is complemented by an especially elaborate set of appointments, including 14-karat gold bird inlays and abalone purfling along the neck, headstock, and truss rod cover. The headstock also carries the distinctive PRS eagle inlay, giving the guitar an immediately recognizable look. Built around the same high-end concept as the Artist Series, these early PRS instruments represent some of the company's most ornate work from the mid-1990s.
