Built during the Mark Sampson era, the HC-30 is essentially the head version of the classic DC-30 combo. This particular example is equipped with a pair of 5V4 rectifier tubes, giving it an exceptionally punchy and responsive feel. Channel 2 delivers that signature EF86-driven sound, though players should note that EF86 tubes can exhibit slight microphonic tendencies due to their design.

The cabinet is also loaded with Matchless’ signature pairing of special-design Celestion speakers, combining a 25W and 30W model for a wonderfully balanced sound.
