Description
This early Sampson-era Clubman features the rare 6SH7 octal-driven preamp, paired with a 35-watt cathode-biased power section. The master volume is especially useful on these amps, allowing you to achieve a great tone at very reasonable volume levels. This example is in spectacular condition, showing minimal signs of previous wear and looking practically new!

Few amplifiers built in the last 30 years command quite the same reverence as Matchless. They’ve certainly earned their place alongside the titans of amplification, standing shoulder to shoulder with vintage Fender, Marshall, and Vox amps in terms of performance, build quality, and reliability.

Players should note that metal-can octal preamp tubes inherently exhibit some degree of microphonics. Those intending to use the amp at high gain or volume levels, particularly with unpotted pickups, should take this characteristic into consideration.
