This is a fantastic example of a Pre-war Martin OM-18, showcasing why Martin guitars have such a legendary status. Few instruments are as effective and enjoyable as mahogany OM's, and this 1933 model is no exception. It is set up with medium action, providing a very comfortable feel. Its well-balanced tone projects beautifully, whether fingerpicked or flatpicked. This guitar has undergone several repairs, giving it a new lease on life: a full refinish, a refret, repair of delamination on the back center seam, two repaired back cracks on the treble side upper bout, a repaired back crack on the bass side lower bout, a repaired top crack at the fingerboard extension into the rosette, and replacements of the bridge, nut, saddle, bridge pins, and bridge plate.
