This 1979 Martin CM-0089 is one of just 25 made as a promotional run for David Bromberg’s album on Fantasy Records. Built with a three-piece rosewood back and a 0000 body, it’s got a big, open voice that feels more like a dread than an oversized orchestra model. It’s been refretted, which is the only major change, and it plays clean all the way up the neck without complaint. The end pin appears to have never been installed and is in the case. Light signs of wear for something that’s been around since the Carter administration, but nothing that gets in the way of the sound—or the story. Comes with a period correct hardshell case.
