An outstanding example of a prewar 000-28 displaying the craftsmanship, sound, and overall quality that make these guitars so sought after. This particular guitar offers one of the rare combinations of 1-3/4" nut and rear-shifted bracing, and is from the first batch of rear-braced 000-28s.
After eight decades, this '38 is in very nice overall condition. It has had a neck reset, re-fret, bridge re-glue ( possible replacement bridge), treble side rim touch-up, touch-up on top, 4 repaired back cracks, areas of heavy wear on back of neck and around soundhole/top.
