Built in 1922, this Martin 0-42 reflects the elegance of the company’s style 42 appointments in a small-bodied design. The guitar has been carefully maintained with a compression bar refret, a reglue of the original bridge, and a new saddle for proper playability. Two low-profile cleats are visible along the center seam, although they could potentially be factory work. Additionally, the top has received an overspray. Cosmetically, it's in pretty remarkable condition for being over 100 years old. With its natural finish highlighting the beautiful wood and its ornate detailing from headstock to end pin, this instrument carries both the visual and tonal qualities that define Martin’s craftsmanship of the early 20th century.
Includes original case (worn, but functional).
