Texas luthier Stephen Marchione has an incredibly broad and encompassing approach to his craft. Rather than focusing all of his energy on just acoustics or electrics, he tackles steel-string acoustic, classical, archtop, semi-hollow, and even violin building as well. Elements of each discipline bleed into the others, creating a cohesive style defined by clean precision and bold designs. Stephen's lutherie philosophy is all about longevity and what he calls "archival building." He crafts his guitars to last and develop with the player over the years, and that careful attention is apparent in every detail of this distinctive "Texas Sunburst" OMC.

That bright 'burst is not the only thing that sets this particular model apart, though. This OMC boasts a silky Swiss spruce top with a bit of bearclaw, and we love to see Indian rosewood on a luthier-built guitar. So often overlooked by boutique buyers, it offers excellent balance and warmth, and Stephen has used it to great effect. Tonally, this OMC has a pleasing focus and a warm, thumpy bass and bright, sweet highs. It feels perfect for percussive, driving fingerpicking blues (and whatever else you want to throw at it!).

This guitar comes with a custom Calton flight case and pre-installed with Marchione's proprietary bridgeplate-mounted pickup.

*When using Affirm, we charge an additional 3.5% fee on the total at checkout. The majority of our instruments are consignment, where CVG keeps a small percentage of each sale. To be able to cover the additional costs required to offer financing, we have to include a higher fee to the customer. The 3.5% fee will be included in and spread across your Affirm payments.
