The Ibanez DT-250 is a Japanese-made Destroyer model from 1984, featuring the angular X-style body with beveled edges and a black finish. Its basswood body is paired with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, while a pair of Ibanez V5 humbuckers provide a direct, high-output voice. The Powerocker tremolo and Smooth Tuner II machines round out the hardware, giving the guitar a distinctive early-'80s setup. With its sharp body lines and straightforward control layout, the DT-250 is a particularly interesting example of Ibanez's X Series from this period. Cosmetically, this example has substantial wear and some finish chipping around the input jack.
