Ibanez AS200 John Scofield 2016, Sunburst

This 2016 Ibanez AS200 combines the refined appointments of the Artstar series with the versatile semi-hollow design that helped establish the model. Its Sunburst finish highlights the figured maple body, while the set mahogany neck and bound ebony fingerboard feature elegant block inlays and gold hardware. A pair of Super 58 humbuckers delivers a broad range of tones, from warm, rounded jazz sounds to sharper, more cutting voices, with a Tri-Sound switch adding further options for the neck pickup. John Scofield’s long-standing connection to the AS200 helped inspire Ibanez’s JSM signature models, making this a notable entry in the company’s history of jazz-oriented electric guitars.
