Originally introduced in 1968, the Guild D-55 has earned its place in the hands of artists and countless players. The modern incarnation stays true to its vintage roots, featuring a Sitka spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back and sides, an ebony fingerboard and bridge, and a traditional nitrocellulose finish. This example has had the bridge reglued, a strap button added, two repaired crack, and one cleat. It shows honest playwear throughout but remains in very good condition overall—a beautifully aged instrument that plays and sounds exactly as a great D-55 should.
