This 1953 Gibson SJ-200 in Sunburst is a gorgeous example of the “King of the Flat-Tops,” carrying on its legacy of rich tone and low end. Its expansive maple body and spruce top produce a bold, open sound with a clear high end and a powerful low register. The guitar has seen a handful of well-executed repairs over the years, including a refret, replacement saddle, multiple crack repairs with cleats, and a reglued side strip, and is now presented in excellent playing condition. The finish has aged gracefully, with warm patina, checking and wear. A beautifully seasoned vintage Gibson with the kind of tone that only comes with time.
Includes Lifton hard shell case in worn condition.
