Description

This 1968 Gibson SG Special is a road-worn rocker with the kind of character only decades of honest use can deliver. Finished in its original cherry nitro lacquer, this lightweight SG features the classic late 60s appointments, including a lightning-fast neck profile and skinny nut width—perfect for players who like their guitars quick and slim.

Outfitted with a pair of original P-90 pickups, this one sings with all the snarling bite and midrange punch you’d expect from a great vintage Special. The electronics are untouched and function as they should, delivering a full spectrum of tones from gritty garage crunch to warm, articulate cleans. This guitar has benefitted from a recent refret and fingerboard plane and currently sports a set of replacement tuners. It comes with a non-original hardshell case.
