This 1944 Gibson LG-2 is a wartime example featuring a mahogany body and spruce top, offering a dry, direct response typical of these "Kalamazoo Gal" examples. The guitar has received several structural repairs, including a neck reset, bridge reglue, replacement bridge plate, and multiple crack repairs to the back and top, all addressed to ensure long-term stability. Other work includes a replacement saddle and pins and a reglued headstock wing crack. Additionally, there is paint added to the fingerboard marker dots. These repairs place the instrument in solid playing condition while preserving the character expected from an early LG-2.
Includes hard shell case.
