The exemplar for top-of-the-line in 1947, this L-5 harkens back to the time of big bands and big cities, and the jazz music that filled the busy air. This guitar has an incredibly lush, mellow tone with its Bartolini floating pickup, equipped with flat wounds, it sounds just as great unplugged. Its action and playability is buttery thanks to a refret and Tune-O-Matic bridge. Cosmetically, it show normal wear for its age with checking, small dings, surface scratches, edge chipping and compression marks, but on the whole remains in outstanding shape. Be the envy of your big band with this '47 L-5.
