Comfortable in size, but loud in tone, this L-00 is a songwriters companion and most likely to be picked up on the couch when inspiration hits. This L-00 was an employee special order based on the L-00 Legend Series. As with that limited edition release, the guitar is based on Lee Roy Parnell's 1937 L-00, and includes a solid adirondack top, ebony nut, solid Honduran mahogany back and sides including a 1-piece back, lightly aged lacquer finish, and Madagascar rosewood fretboard. The 1-piece mahogany neck is larger with a classic V shape. The only difference from the standard Legend is the tighter early 30's-style sunburst and the addition of the banner logo on the headstock.

From Gibson: "Developed in the 30’s, the L-00 was an industry standard for many years. The L-00 Standard beautifully captures the heritage of those exemplary early models. With perfect balance, the L-00 has unparalleled projection not found in comparable small body guitars."

This example has had its pickguard re-glued, but is otherwise all original. This is a 1-owner guitar in excellent, gently played condition. It is worth noting that the case is not the redline case of the stock model due to the customer employee order.

OHSC and COA included.
