Modifications/RepairsReplacement Klusons (Grovers previously installed), repaired headstock crack with overspray, refret, new nut, pickups replaced with an unmarked humbucker in the neck and a Patent stamped T-top in the bridge, varitone replaced and converted to mono, new truss rod cover
This 1968 ES-345 is an exceptional instrument, offering superb playability and tone. While it's undergone several modifications, these updates make it more accessible than an all-original example, making it an excellent option for players seeking vintage feel and tone at a more approachable price point. The most significant modification is a headstock break, which has been expertly repaired with a subtle burst that complements the guitar's aesthetic. Although the headstock received some overspray, the rest of the guitar’s original finish remains untouched.

Other modifications include replaced pickups—an unmarked humbucker in the neck and a Patent-stamped T-top in the bridge—along with a mono conversion and replaced Varitone switch. The tuners were swapped from Grovers to Klusons, and the guitar has also had a refret, new nut, a repaired neck pickup ring, and truss rod cover installed. Despite these changes, it retains its vintage charm, playing effortlessly after a recent setup. The combination of two humbuckers and the Varitone switch offers a wide range of tones, making this guitar versatile for various musical styles. It comes with a non-original hardshell case.
