The 1953 Gibson ES-295 is a striking archtop electric guitar, best known for its all-gold finish and rockabilly heritage. Based on the ES-175, it features a fully hollow maple body, a mahogany neck with a Brazilian rosewood fretboard, and elegant split-parallelogram inlays. Equipped with dual P-90 pickups, it delivers a warm, punchy tone with excellent articulation, making it a favorite for blues, jazz, and early rock and roll. The distinctive trapeze tailpiece with a floral-engraved wraparound bridge adds to its vintage charm. Famously played by Scotty Moore with Elvis Presley, the ES-295 remains a highly collectible and historically significant Gibson model. See the Specs tab for the full repair history.
