This 1997 Gibson Chet Atkins Country Gentleman represents Chet Atkins’ collaboration with Gibson to refine and reimagine his iconic signature concept. While Chet is most often associated with his Gretsch models, this Gibson version stands as a thoughtful evolution, offering its own distinct feel and voice. The guitar is in good overall condition, showing noticeable playwear throughout, along with some light finish bubbling on the neck. The pickguard and armrest have been removed but are included in the original hardshell case. Oxidation from the tortoise pickguard has caused some wear to the gold hardware, consistent with age and use. Despite its cosmetic wear, the guitar plays comfortably and sounds excellent. Original hardshell case included.
